FAQ: Our Morning Routine

Rainy Season at the Andaman Sea

Published on 12.05.2025, 13:50 in Langkawi, Malaysia

This report’s podcast is only available in german: Beginn der Regenzeit an der Andamanensee.

On the Malay Peninsula, the east coast is not particularly far from the west coast – and so we quickly ride from the Pacific over to the Indian Ocean, which we last saw almost exactly two years ago in Kuwait. In Thailand, we mainly get to see the sea from the islands: we cross over to Koh Yao and Koh Lanta and once again spend the night on secluded beaches, but also in simple bungalows under palm trees. The south of Thailand is characterized by karst mountains on both land and sea, which we already know well from Guangxi and northern Vietnam, but whose view from the road in Thailand is often obstructed by dense palm oil plantations (good thing we have a drone!). As the rainy season sets in, we ride towards the Malaysian border, camp again at a turquoise crater lake and spend the last night with our Warmshowers host Pot before we leave Thailand for Langkawi after 1.5 months.

We always appreciate your critisism, praise and other suggestions or hints and invite you to send us them via hi@zweiradlertouren.de!

We are going to get on our bicycles once again and further collect kilometers :-)

See you again soon!
