We spent about a month in Danang and Hoi An. Tizian’s parents visited us again, and we explored the area between Hue in the north and Hoi An in the south on a scooter. As always, Tizian’s parents also thankfully brought quite some equipment and spare parts that we now had to install. After 28 days, we cycled on, back into the mountains, through rubber tree plantations and onto the Ho Chi Minh Highway until just before our border crossing into Laos. Along the way, the choice between either truck-heavy mountain passes or steep, dusty dirt paths, as well as the increasingly intense heat caused beads of sweat to appear on our foreheads.
